Summary:

The Counsel is responsible for the provision of legal advice regarding various legal matters of The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation ("JHHS") and its affiliates. It includes responsibility for the interpretation of laws and regulations specific to assigned practice group. This position also provides support to the General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel, as needed. Success in the position requires the recognition and understanding of relevant legal principles and restrictions, as well as the ability to understand, articulate, and incorporate strategic and tactical considerations which are consistent with and further the interests of JHHS and its tri-part mission.

Education:

A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Continuing legal education involving legal seminars, review and study of legal periodicals and review of judicial decisions and legislative enactments and pronouncements.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

Member in good standing of the Maryland Bar or Bar of another jurisdiction and eligible to become licensed to practice in Maryland or Florida

Work Experience:

A minimum of zero (0) to three (3) years of experience at the Bar.

Salary Range: Minimum 44.15 per hour - Maximum 70.64 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
