CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER

PINE GROVE, PA

As a member of the Continuous Improvement Team, the Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for implement a culture of continuously improving manufacturing utilizing concepts & principles. The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for partnering with manufacturing functional leaders and management staff to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities to deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement and financial benefit across the business's plants and functions.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:



  • Plan, lead & execute actions that will result in established goals being met.
  • Manage a robust review process for selecting, scoping, and prioritizing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the operational leaders to understand and improve the business.
  • This position will function as a key driver of change with the supporting plant staff and functional leaders by communicating the plant-wide changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust, and grow with the plant's continuous improvement transformation.
  • Improve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery in all departments.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Develop & conduct continuous improvement training for all employees in support of Lear initiatives.
  • Manage continuous improvement reporting activities for the organization internally and to Corporate.
  • Work closely with the CI global team to ensure Lean, Six Sigma, and Best Practices (LSS & BP) compliance and implementation.
  • Value Stream Map key product lines for driving cost improvements.
  • Completing all Lear compliance documentation to include OEA audit.
  • Leading and supporting additional key projects within both facilities.



Your Qualifications:



  • 7 - 10 years of professional work experience in a manufacturing/automotive leadership role.
  • 4 - 6 years of Continuous Manufacturing deployment and transformation experience.
  • Results based leadership style skill set with strong impact and influencing skills.
  • Tenacity and energy in leading change towards an effective work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Value Stream Management, SMED, TPM, 5S, DFSS, etc.)
  • Experienced/demonstrated ability to solve problems systematically utilizing scientific methodologies and process focus.
  • Knowledge of audits, certifications, standards, and process management related to manufacturing technologies, development, and production, as well as logistic processes.
