Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, Contract Dining Services plays a critical role in ensuring the financial and operational integrity of the University Dining Services department. Provide a comprehensive analysis of departmental data, including meal plan membership, vendor invoices, financial statements, and cross-system data integration. Provide accurate and insightful reporting, support budget management, and maintain the integrity of the meal plan program. Partner closely with finance, vendors, and various university departments to optimize dining operations and revenue management.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Required Experience:
5+ years experience in data analysis, financial reporting, and budget management. Experience working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience in higher education dining services is a plus.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create partnerships with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Atrium, SIS, Bursar, and Housing systems. Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
