The Department of Anthropology at Columbia University invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Scholar/lecturer position to begin September 1, 2025. Candidates should have received a PhD in social and cultural anthropology and must have demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and teaching. In addition to pursuing their own research, the Postdoctoral Research Scholar will be appointed as a lecturer (part-time) and will teach one course per semester in the Department of Anthropology's terminal Master's (MAO) Program and work with the Director of the MAO Program. Successful candidates must have their PhD by July 1, 2025 and must have received it within three years from the start of the appointment. Area focus open, but preference for applicants whose work includes one of the following: Climate and Environment, Media and Documentary Arts, or Borders and Migration. Salary Range
