The Senior Competitive Intelligence Leader will be responsible for developing and executing a sophisticated competitive intelligence (Cl) function, informing executive decision-making, and driving strategic differentiation. This individual will apply advanced research methodologies, experimental frameworks, and analytics to uncover industry trends, competitor strategies, and market opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in B2B industries, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to influence senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Competitive Intelligence Strategy: Architect and lead a best-in-class Cl function, aligning intelligence efforts with corporate strategy, product development, and go to-market initiatives.
- Market & Competitive Research: Conduct deep-dive research into competitor activities, business models, customer insights, pricing strategies, M&A trends, and market disruptions.
- Experimental Analysis & Testing: Design and execute competitive experiments, scenario modeling, and market simulations to validate hypotheses and guide business decisions.
- Analytics & Data Synthesis: Leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization to distill key insights from large and complex datasets.
- Executive Reporting & Advisory: Develop high-impact deliverables, including executive briefings, whitepapers, and strategy ptaybooks, to inform leadership on market dynamics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams to embed intelligence into critical business processes.
- Early Warning System: Establish and maintain a proactive competitive monitoring system that identifies risks, emerging threats, and white-space opportunities.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as an internal expert on competitive trends, providing recommendations that drive differentiation and market leadership.
Key Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, strategic research, market intelligence, or related functions within a B2B environment.
- Deep expertise in research methodologies, hypothesis-driven analysis, and experimental design.
- Strong proficiency in analytics, including working with data visualization toots (Tableau, Power Bl) and advanced modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience delivering intelligence briefings at the C-suite level.
- Track record of influencing strategic decisions through data-backed recommendations.
- Experience working in highly competitive and dynamic industries such as technology, Saas, financial services, or enterprise solutions is a plus.
- Master's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
