Job Overview: The Senior Manager, Product & Styling Expertise Activation plays a critical role - leading on product knowledge and styling acumen, all with the goal of building fashion competency of our selling colleagues across stores. They are responsible for the art of guiding and inspiring customers, connecting them with product that meets their needs to drive sales performance. They will lead trend activation across selling populations, developing wardrobing and cross-category selling skills. The candidate should be energized and inspired by the humanity that underpins our business -- our customers and our people - and be excited by the opportunity to spend time activating them in stores. The Senior Manager, Product and Styling Expertise Activation reports to the Regional Director of Stores, supporting multiple locations across the region. Core Responsibilities:
- Activates selling ceremony through leadership guides, styling sessions, observation in tandem with store leadership
- Ensures activation of seasonal and evergreen trend and product guides
- Maximize in-store vendor product knowledge sessions ensuring quality calendar, robust leadership/seller participation and follow-up for results
- Spearhead efforts to maximize product/styling expertise activation across local market to optimize assortments, network inventory, vendor investments and store formats
- Collaborates with central Selling Strategy team to serve as a critical input to prioritization of opportunities and creation of seasonal and ongoing programming
- Support the launch of high-priority brands across store with product expertise strategy that sets teams up for selling success
- Host virtual and in-person Summits & Clinics in support of focus product categories and selling groups
Qualifications:
- We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply
- 5+ years related experience
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work, influence and gain consensus across functional lines and at many levels
- Some direct merchant/product curation experience is strongly preferred
- Strong collaboration and relationship orientation
- Outstanding communication skills: high level of confidence and independence
- Ability to juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timeline and actions needed to stakeholders
- Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills; ability to turn ambiguous subject matter into problems and actionable solutions
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
- Work Hours: Full Time
