Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking for a Cloud Technical Director. This individual will be supporting our FRB program and will join a high performing team.

What you will do:

    This role will work collaboratively with a team of like-minded architects and senior engineers identifying and creating solutions for a variety of enterprise computing infrastructures and application scenarios, with a focus on AWS cloud technologies.
  • Share proven practices, patterns, products and applications from other engagements across Peraton and from previous experience to develop sustainable solutions leveraged across multiple boundaries.
  • Holding responsibility for helping to define the technical cloud strategy for our client;
  • Working closely with all stakeholders to validate technology decisions to support product capabilities now and for the future; and guiding it successfully through its execution.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 16 plus years of experience with last 5 years in cloud technologies.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
  • Must have solid leadership abilities to work both within the technology organization and with external business partners and consumers to achieve and measure IT business objectives.
  • Collaborative and highly adaptable working style; strong communication skills; polish and poise when presenting and experience working within a C-Suite environment.
  • Experience implementing IaaS, PaaS and SaaS workloads in public, private and hybrid cloud deployment models.
  • Extensive background working with AWS cloud technologies and strategies including transformation planning and execution.
  • Extensive experience working with cloud native hosting solutions such as Containers, Docker, Infrastructure as Code and technologies from Amazon.
  • Deep understanding of Infrastructure and Platform Automation technology products such as Puppet, Ansible, and Chef Technologies.
  • Experience in successfully delivering cloud-based solutions on Amazon AWS.
  • Essential knowledge and experience with core infrastructure technologies including: Networking, Servers, Storage, Operating Systems (Windows Server and Linux), Virtualization, Databases and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with Cloud compliance, quality and contracting FEDRAMP, SoC, NIST, FISMA, ISO.
  • Significant experience with IT Strategy and Technology Service Management.
  • Expertise and background working with standard multi-tier platform architectures Java, message queuing, streaming, RDBMS, and file and object-based architectures.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of industry technology standards, compliance activities and experience working with audit and regulatory bodies.
  • Skilled working with multiple vendors and business groups and ability to lead large efforts with many stakeholder groups from Proof of Concept and through development into production implementations.
  • Comprehensive process management creation and maturity experience within a Service Management organization primarily with an AGILE, LEAN or SaFE driven methodology.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive ROI and Business Case development experience - the experience necessary to be able to confidently predict and forecast possible outcomes.
  • Experience working with or in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • Familiar with Oracle, WebSphere and WebLogic

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
