Description

The primary purpose of this position is to help facilitate loan growth while preserving credit quality in the corporate C&I (commercial/industrial) loan portfolio. The function involves complex data acquisition and analysis resulting in senior level management reports and loan presentations. This role participates with lending officers on customer calls, attends bank group meetings and assists in other projects as assigned. Provides technical and financial analysis support for industry monitoring, new business underwriting, portfolio maintenance and administration.



  • Utilize skilled judgement on business entities and individuals to summarize their financial condition, performance, cash flow, trends, projections and risks.
  • Analyze proposed collateral positions on a variety of assets including, but not limited to, working capital lines of credit and owner occupied real estate.
  • Complete Credit Memorandums for loan approvals incorporating quantitative and qualitative financial analysis along with identifying key strengths and credit risks of a proposed credit.
  • Develop an understanding of MidFirst Bank credit policy to recognize and mitigate risks on new and existing transactions.
  • Assist Loan Officers in completing reports used by senior management in the loan monitoring and decision making process.
  • Gather, examine and present information in a concise and meaningful manner and offer thoughts concerning credit-worthiness and loan structure.
  • Use effective communication skills to work collaboratively with both loan officers and credit managers.
  • Act as a mentor for junior analysts.


Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field.
  • Three to five years' experience in commercial bank underwriting or lending.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial/industrial loan underwriting.
  • Working knowledge of investor real estate underwriting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Moody's (or comparable) spreading software.
  • High level of initiative and accountability.
  • Results-driven, team-oriented and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
