EHS Intern

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated EHS Intern to join our manufacturing team. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience in the field of environmental, health, and safety compliance within a fast-paced industrial setting. The intern will assist the EHS Manager in implementing and maintaining programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards while promoting a safe and sustainable workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS programs and policies.

  Support data collection and reporting efforts related to environmental compliance (e.g., emissions, waste, and water usage).

  Conduct safety audits and inspections on the production floor to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

  Conduct ergonomic assessments and job safety analysis of processes and equipment.

  
  

• 
  

  Participate in incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

  
  

• 
  

  Help organize and deliver EHS training sessions and materials for employees.

  Maintain and update safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and regulatory permits.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

  Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  
  

• 
  

  Basic understanding of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).

  
  

• 
  

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  
  

• 
  

  Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  
  

Preferred Skills:

• 
  

  Previous experience or coursework in EHS or a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques is an asset.
