Responsible for enhancing nursing practice standards and promoting professional development within our hospital through developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nursing practice standards and protocols.

Essential Functions
*Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing practice standards and protocols.
*Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and professional development.
*Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes and ensure adherence to best practices.
*Conduct assessments, identify educational needs, and develop training programs for nursing staff.
*Serve as a resource for nursing staff on complex clinical cases and ethical dilemmas.
*Facilitate research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and participate in evidence-based practice projects.
*Monitor and analyze trends in nursing practice and healthcare regulations, recommending improvements as needed.
*Participate in committees, meetings, and professional organizations to promote nursing excellence

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing required.

  • Nursing experience 5-7 years required and Specialized clinical experience 3-5 years required

  • Current Massachusetts RN License required.

  • NP/CNS experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of Endoscopy required

Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice, quality improvement methodologies, and healthcare regulations.

  • Extensive clinical experience with a focus on a specialized area within the hospital (e.g., critical care, oncology, etc.).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and teaching skills.

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
