Position Overview: Water Resources Engineer

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This embedded position requires the candidate to be onsite full-time and contribute to the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the largest transportation projects in Florida. The Water Resources Engineer will play a key role in supporting water resources-related tasks across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:




  • Utilize production software and lead data collection efforts for impact studies, cost analyses, and design requirements.



  • Prepare portions of project documents and edit specifications and discipline reports.



  • Develop drawings, visual aids, and presentations to support project objectives.



  • Conduct field reviews and observations of ongoing projects as needed.



  • Perform research and investigations to support engineering solutions and project development.




Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program with at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification strongly preferred.



  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.



  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production (Open Roads Designer).



  • A passion for engineering, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
