Position Description
Serves as top finance and accounting leader and strategic business partner for designated business unit(s), location(s) and/or functional area(s) with a small to moderate portion of corporate revenues. Plans, directs and oversees coordination and preparation of financial analysis and provides management with information and insights vital to the decision-making process.
Job Responsibilities
Participates in strategic long range planning and leads the financial planning process for the business unit including proactively recommending mitigating actions to help achieve business results. Provides strategic financial leadership and support on matters affecting the assigned business unit(s) and/or location(s). Facilitates the forecasting process and inventory analysis for improvement and reporting accuracy through collaboration with the business, corporate finance and CFO. Leads and directs the team's work to provide insights on business performance in relation to strategies and goals; routinely analyzes and reports performance utilizing trend analyses and data analytics. Leads business analyses to advise the business and identify opportunities to drive business improvements. Leads monthly financial analysis of the business unit's results, ensuring coordination with local teams. Ensures compliance with company accounting and financial policies; enables technology to manage risk and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and systems; maintain a strong environment of internal controls. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget. Job Skills Requirements
Strong people and business leadership skills with proven track record to influence key stakeholders, provide insightful financial analysis, share expertise and mentor others. Strong presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills for working with a diverse group of people. Strong knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to forecast and develop budgets. Strong computer literacy, especially experience with financial software systems. Ability to make sound financial judgements regarding investments, returns, and overall financial impacts Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
Minimum of ten years experience Prior leadership and management experience in a large, complex global company strongly preferred
