City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is hiring a full-time (40 hours per week) Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join our Team. In this role you will: Promote professional development application of nursing clinical expertise in specified patient populations. Serve as an expert clinician, consistently serving as a clinical resource to staff and being recognized as a mentor, working to develop staff from beginner to expert status. Critically analyze care delivered in identified service areas against evidence-based practice standards and seek ways to improve outcomes. Be accountable for defined aspects of staff development, continuing education and professional development of nursing staff. Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in interprofessional quality initiatives, implementing evidence-based nursing practices, shared decision making, and other educational plans and activities. Experience 3 years of clinical experience required Education Master's Level Degree License/Certification A valid RN license in the state(s) of practice required. Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for Intermediate and Critical Care Units. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$66,830.40-$111,384.00Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
