Insurance Coordintor - Home Care Silver Spring, MD Pay From: $22 Per Hour MUST: 4+ years medical of medical office or home health experience Medical benefit experience Experienced obtaining 3 rd party authorizations and pre-certifications Verifying insurance benefits Experienced working with Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payors for pre-authorizations Reviewing paperwork with patients Strong documentation skills and experience working with EMR Strong organizational skills Good communication skills DUTIES: Obtain 3 rd party authorizations and pre certifications for Medicaid, Medicare and commercial payers for home health visits and equipment Verify insurance Follow up with insurance companies Track home health visits to ensure patients are within authorization limits of payors Provide insurance verification information for denials to support reimbursements Review paperwork for accuracy with patients Handle correspondence related to skilled nursing stays Create reports Document information in EMR Assist with inquiries Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
