Overview:

Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Assume responsibility for procedures performed. Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with completed clinical hours
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Licensure

  • State licensure may be required depending on location

Certification & Registration

  • ARRT certification required or registry-eligible
  • Must achieve ARRT certification within6 months of hire

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in radiologic imaging, with proven capability to perform independently and efficiently
  • Prior experience in orthopedic imaging or hospital-based settings preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced technical skills in radiologic procedures and equipment operation
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and positioning for optimal imaging results
  • Ability to evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality and accuracy
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability in high-pressure or emergency situations

Physical & Working Requirements

  • Capable of manipulating x-ray equipment, including mobile units
  • Able to lift, move, and transport patients safely
  • Comfortable with prolonged standing and walking
  • Must be able to recognize and respond to urgent clinical scenarios

Technology & Equipment Proficiency

  • Skilled in operating radiographic equipment, processors, and computer systems
  • Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems preferred
