Job Title: Sr. Linux/Unix Administrator nWork Location: USSTRATCOM Offutt AFBnClearance: TS/SCInEducation: HS Diploma/GEDnExperience: 8+ yearsnCertification: Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSECnSchedule: Monday - Friday day shiftnTravel: Occasional nSalary: Commensurate with experiencenJob Listing Number: NE25002nLCAT: Senior Network and Computer Systems AdministratornnOverview: S4 Inc. has a Sr. Linux/Unix System Administrator position available who will be providing Information Technology services to USSTRATCOM in order to support its full range of enterprise services, including development, testing, and production environments.nSpecific Duties:nnPerform system administration for enterprise Linux/Unix OS solutions. nInstall, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix OS operating systems. nAnalyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. nMonitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards. nMonitor everyday systems, evaluates availability of all server resources, and performs all activities for Linux servers. nAssist with configuring and deploying all virtual machines and install and provide backup to all configuration procedures. nMaintains and monitors all patch releases, designs various patch installation strategies, and maintains all systems according to program standards. nProvide Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting support, interfacing with the end users and other technical teams from a service support perspective.nnnRequired Qualifications: nnTop Secret security clearance and eligible for SCI accessnCloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC certification requirednAt least 8 years experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux/Unix OS operating systems Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with customer and staffnGood verbal and written communication skills. nnnDesired qualifications:nnOne of the following certifications is preferred: ITIL 4 Foundations; Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator; or Linux Professional Institute Certification Linux Administrator; or CompTIA Linux+; or Oracle Certified Professional Oracle Linux System Administrator; or Red Hat Certified Engineer; or Oracle Certified Professional Solaris System Administrator; or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible AutomationnnnTo apply to this position please go to www.s4inc.com and click on Careers to complete and an employment application and to upload your resume.nnS4 Inc. offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package with 401(k), and universal time off.
