This job involves installing and maintaining pipe systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and following detailed plans and instructions. Workers use various tools and techniques to prepare, connect, and secure pipes, as well as dig and grade trenches. Safety and adherence to environmental regulations are top priorities. Starting wage is $30/hour and up depending on experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
|
1. Minimum 3 years of experience and knowledge with the pipe laser. 2. Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record. 3. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)

1. Experience with Construction industry. 2. Ability to operate and maintain equipment/tools.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
|
1. Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing. 2. Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers. 3. Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement, or glue. 4. Cover pipes with earth or other materials. 5. Cut pipes to required lengths. 6. Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools 7. Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools 8. Install and repair water, stormwater & sewer structures and pipe systems. 9. Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors. 10. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance. 11. Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.
