As a Senior Investment Operations Associate-Core Ops on the Complex Instruments Accounting Team (CIA), you will work independently on standardized/recurring assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior staff on complex projects, analyses, and tasks. You will help support investment vehicles servicing the Institutional, Retail, and other functions supporting research requirements of complex income instruments.

  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with intellectual curiosity to investigate income discrepancies and issues of moderate to high complexity, transactional in nature, and/or have been previously encountered, identify root causes, develop strategic options and recommendations to resolve issues.

  • You demonstrate strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business needs with knowledge and experience in fixed income investment products (e.g., interest, amortization, distressed securities, loans and derivative instruments) and can perform general ledger entry analysis and assessment of company or industry news.

  • You possess in depth knowledge and expertise across multiple processing systems and overall business cycle.

  • You possess a strong focus on the control environment, ensuring adherence to existing processes and procedures while maintaining a prospective focus on opportunities to strengthen controls to mitigate risk.

  • You are self-driven (e.g., independently manage workload and achieve target outcomes) and possess excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.

  • You have strong collaboration skills, working within and across teams and stakeholder groups to assess and resolve low to highly complex fixed income issues.

  • You are proactive, detail-oriented and a critical thinker with a strong commitment to quality, comfortable in making decisions in a fast paced, intellectually demanding environment.

  • You demonstrate strong computer skills (e.g., Word, and Excel) and can quickly learn and assimilate newly acquired knowledge.

Hampton Roads Base Salary Range: $62,642-$100,227

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
