The Maintenance Crew Lead will be the responsible party for the maintenance crew performing work on water/wastewater distribution systems and collection plants. Essential Functions Statement(s) Drives work truck; pulls trailers; loads and unloads equipment; drives to and from job site locations. Operate backhoe. Responsible for water line and sewer repairs, new line installation, taps, flushing valve maintenance, and plant equipment maintenance. Maintains work truck and tools. Order parts, rentals and outside contract work with approval. Inspects and maintains pumps, motors, valves and blowers in working order, troubleshooting problems as they arise. Pulls motors and pumps for repair, to include wiring and fabrication of parts as necessary. Replaces valves. Repairs fire hydrants. Assist plant operations as required. What You'll Bring Education: Requires knowledge normally acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED plus advanced skills and technical knowledge of water and wastewater operations and maintenance attained by specialized course and on-the-job training. Experience: Three to five years of directly related experience in water and wastewater system maintenance and repair, including experience operating heavy equipment. License: Valid Texas Driver's License and preferred TCEQ water/wasterwater license. Work Environment Field Based Role. We are a proud Equal Opportunity Employer.
