Daikin Applied is seeking a talented Sr Product Manager. The Sr Product Manager will liaison with various teams and personnel to manage software projects in the engineering, Digital and product management areas. With minimal direction, this position will establish and implement program objectives, manage the project manager team, develop budgets, evaluate progress and provide regular status updates to the Executive Leadership Team with a focus on the company's strategic and the specific projects' tactical goals. Location: Plymouth, MN - Hybrid or Remote

What you will do:

Coordinate and track assigned software programs within the engineering, Digital and product management areas

Resolve problems in assigned programs using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company

Provide timeline and fiscal oversight on assigned projects

Responsible for focusing these efforts to meet the company's strategic goals and the program's specific tactical goals

Responsible for challenging and driving all opportunities for strategic procurement

Maintain and develop other management tools as necessary to drive the development process

Prepare and present reports monthly on the status of assigned programs including but not limited to the Executive Leadership Team.

Lead and drive decision points for project progress and funding

Track industry trends, relevant legislation and competitor activities at a high level

Step in and resolve critical problems as they arise in the Engineering, Digital and Product Management areas

Engage with senior management as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering) or related field
10+ years of experience in technology
6+ years of people leadership experience
Familiarity with all elements of Software Development Lifecyle
Experience forming large teams of subject matter experts and running multi-year software development projects to successful conclusion, within budget
Knowledge of Database software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

12+ years of experience of software development
8+ years of people leadership experience
Experience adhering to SAFe Scaled Agile principles
Agile Certification accredited by industry-standard organization, eg: Scrum Alliance. Scrum Master, Product Owner or similar

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,100 - $215,000 (+ 25-30% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
