Overview ABOUT THE POSITION VHB is seeking an entry-level Transit Planner to join our Transit and Rail Planning team in North Carolina. This position is ideal for someone passionate about enhancing transportation systems and improving mobility within communities. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to a variety of transit and rail planning projects, including long-range planning, bicycle and pedestrian safety, small area development, and public transit improvements. Your role will involve analyzing and interpreting data, creating compelling maps and visual reports, and supporting transit agencies in navigating complex challenges. With opportunities to collaborate with clients across North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic, this is a chance to grow as a transit planning expert while contributing to projects that enhance multimodal transportation solutions and improve quality of life for communities. Responsibilities:
Perform analysis tasks using Excel and/or GIS for a wide range of transit and rail projects.
