Description and Requirements
About the Position The Principal AI Product Manager will join our global Digital Transformation team for AI innovation, playing a pivotal role to shape AI product strategy and drive innovation across Lenovo globally. You will identify opportunities for our internal services to align with global business objectives, and drive development and delivery of new internal-use AI applications. This position has a hybrid schedule onsite 3 days per week at our Morrisville, NC office. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy and Vision
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI product strategy that aligns with Lenovo's global business goals.
- Identify opportunities for AI adoption across Lenovo's businesses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and ensure alignment with market trends and business needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and technical experts to translate business needs into actionable AI products.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with Lenovo's AI strategy and best practices.
Product Development and Launch
- Oversee the end-to-end AI product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- Ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into Lenovo's businesses.
Market Analysis and User Insights
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, business needs, and competitive landscape in the AI space.
- Analyze user feedback and usage data to inform product improvements and innovation.
AI Product Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage partnerships with AI technology providers, developers, and ecosystem players to enhance Lenovo's AI adoption.
- Drive the development of AI-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with Lenovo's existing applications.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead and mentor a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to AI/ML teams to ensure high-quality product development.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of AI product initiatives.
- Regularly report on progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 Project Experiences delivering innovative AI-driven products for internal business use.
- 10 years of Experience driving and delivering CV/ML/AI products and projects.
- Advanced educational credential (Masters, Doctorate) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of Experience delivering CV/ML/AI products.
- AI Architecture skillset with AI/ML technologies such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing.
- Demonstrated Experience managing AI/ML product development.
- Strong understanding of AI Ethics, Data Privacy, and Compliance in North America.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Transparent leadership perspective: sharing knowledge and resources.
- Experience with PM tools: MS Project, Office, PowerPoint, Power BI.
- Ability to present data-driven insights to a variety of audiences: Executives, Project Managers, Engineers, Business Users/Stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and advise Executives utilizing data and user insights.
- Ability to work on a global team in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to share and delegate work tasks with both direct and indirect reports.
- Cultural Competency working across Chinese, American, European, Desi and South American cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact.
- Excellent time management and coordination skillset.
- Bilingual skillset in Mandarin and English is a plus.
