JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Core Research Technologist for the Clinical Specimen Processing Core Facility. The Core technologist is responsible for performing core facility tasks and completing routine clinical-research specimen processing and shipping. Specific duties and Responsibilities Under the Guidance of the Manager: Receive, analyze or complete quotes for studies Maintain accurate project documentation including protocols used, key milestones and documentation for billing, as necessary. Process, store and ship samples, as needed. Perform maintenance and calibration of lab equipment, as needed. Assist study coordinators with processes and procedures relating to individual studies Other duties as assigned Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Minimum Experience No prior relevant work experience required Equivalency Previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education
