What You'll Do TheSeniorProject Engineerwill be directly responsible for overseeing project activities internal and external to Spincraft. Will be the technical Point of Contact for customer if Program Manager is not assigned. Duties include tool/process design and technical/manufacturing documentation that will be flowed to Manufacturing that ensures that the product will meet the customer requirement. Individual will be expected to incorporate value engineering methodologies to support continuous improvement and cost reductions for associated manufacturing processing. Will provide technical input on new estimates as required and complete repeat site estimates as assigned. Is the technical point of contact for the project, customer, and vendors Completely manages a new project and associated development/NPI process from initial design through shipment of the first article to meet the customer requirements on time and under budget File management of project specific drawings, data sets, models, and part lists Assist with/perform part and method entries into the ERP system (Epicor) Create manufacturing documentation (BOMs, routings, part/tool sketches using SolidWorks, visual work instructions, change orders, etc...) to fulfill customer requirements based on information supplied through purchase orders and engineering documents Review and approve QA supplied control plans and inspection logs Develop process flowcharts and pictorial diagrams as necessary Create & update schedules and project status using MS Project or other fornew/NPIorders Evaluate/disposition nonconformance reports with rework operations (where required) and assist in providing/implementing corrective action Provide estimating support through developing layouts and concepts for costing/quoting Support the development and improvement of engineering departmental procedures Participate in the maintenance of engineering drawings and standards Participate in jointly developing PFMEAs where/when necessary to mitigate risk Perform observation/time studies for developing standards and improving processes as assigned Analyze process and cost data (planned vs. actual) for decision-making purposes Participate in, track, & lead process improvement activities for assigned parts/projects Evaluate, research, and perform due diligence of new technology(s) under the direction of the team What You'll Bring BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred Minimum of 5-7 years engineering experience or previous/relevant intern/co-op experience. Must be a self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and initiative on a new project/task from concept through completion Proficient in SolidWorks and MS Office products Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a desire to grow in the role and apply new manufacturing technologies or processes to remain competitive Basic understanding of GD&T Familiar with typical fabrication processes such as sheet metal forming, rolling, assembly, welding, heat treating, and machining Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at one time with effective self-prioritization Equal Opportunity Employer.
