Overview The International Gateway Operations Agent II is tasked with coordinating gateway freight operations to ensure shipments are delivered efficiently and on time. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, such as carriers, customers, and internal teams, to streamline gateway freight processes and uphold high service standards. Additionally, this role acts as a liaison between US and overseas AIT stations and Global Agent providers handling transiting freight. Responsibilities
Coordinate daily gateway freight activities, including booking shipments, tracking cargo, obtaining scheduled rates, and ensuring timely delivery
Qualifications Education * High School Diploma or GED (Required) Experience * 3+ years of transportation industry experience in gateway export / import operations (Required) * 5+ years of freight forwarding operations experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of working within government vertical, strongly preferred High * Proficient in Microsoft Office suite High * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written High * Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced working environment High * Attention to detail and strong organizing skills High * Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment High * Knowledge of TSA, ITAR and Dangerous Goods regulations Medium * Cargo-wise experience Medium |
