Responsible for providing an advanced clinical level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities also include completing x-rays effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience.

Essential Functions
-Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care
-Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients
-Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs
-Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation
-Maintains pertinent records
-Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
-May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms

Education

  • Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required

Licenses and Credentials

  • Radiologic Technologist [State License] - required
  • Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred

Experience

  • radiology Technician experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required

  • Good business acumen skills.
