General Job Summary:
The Chief of Psychiatry Service at the NYU Langone Hospital- Suffolk (NYULH-Suffolk) will provide both administrative and clinical oversight of the Behavioral Health Service, including Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, the Access Center, Outpatient Chemical Dependency Program, and the Consultation-Liaison (CL) Psychiatry Service, Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) behavioral staff. The position entails the day-to-day management of all areas in concert with other administrative and clinical leaders. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, program and policy development, alignment with all regulatory agencies, and recruitment and retention of physician staff. The Chief will also remain current of evidence-based practices to ensure the highest quality of care is provided and that care is efficacious. Position also requires providing direct patient care. Responsibilities: The incumbent will provide clinical leadership and ensure high quality services for all patients cared for by the Service's staff, provide academic leadership and supervision to medical students and residents, assist in the development of comprehensive plans for the growth and development of the Service, and recruit staff to develop the service. Salary: $400,000-$500,000 The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
