Summary of Job Duties:The Timberwolf Grill Manager works under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor for Student Services and provides leadership and management for the campus food service operation.

Timberwolf Grill Hours of Operation: 9 am - 3 pm for prep and service Monday through Friday.

Tentative Start Date: On or around August 1, 2025

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Plans, organizes, and manages all activities of the campus food service operation, Timberwolf Grill.

Ensures consistency in food quality and presentation by staff to students, faculty, staff and external customers.

Perform food preparation or service tasks such as cooking, cashiering, serving, and cleaning.

Resolves customer problems and issues.

Manages cost of food, labor and supplies.

Maintains cash handling standards, accounting, and reporting processes.

Makes recommendations regarding the purchase of equipment and supplies.

Monitors inventory and places orders consistent with college purchasing policies.

Schedules and receives food and beverage deliveries and verify product quality and quantity.

Establishes sanitation practices, cleaning schedules and other sanitary controls.

Develops Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and safety standards for the operation, maintaining the highest rating on health inspections.

Ensures Timberwolf Grill staff are trained in proper food preparation, kitchen safety techniques and health standards as required by the state health department.

Keeps the Vice Chancellor for Student Services informed of issues and operational needs related to food service.

Makes recommendations to the Vice Chancellor for Student Services for changes in the operations of the Timberwolf Grill.

Participate in the selection of personnel, work with employees to correct deficiencies. Assist with the selection and training of student employees and temporary workers.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Negative TB Test

Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of the minimum qualifications upon approval of the Chancellor.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-months of experience in food service operations or related field

Salary Information:

$20-$25/hr with education and experience
