Apply Full-Time / Part-Time Full-Time Job Description Overview of the Position: Assist in the reverse engineering and drawing creation of FAA approved aftermarket aircraft parts by using a variety of precision measurement tools and methods, and providing feedback and recommendations to engineers regarding part features, drawing layout and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) usage. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Competently use a variety of metrology inspection tools to assist in the reverse engineering of aircraft parts Use 3D CAD software to develop/interpret drawings and scans Perform special projects or assignment to support department Manage time effectively and consistently meet task deadlines Create dimensional data reports in Excel Collaborate closely with engineering and metrology groups to ensure department goals are achieved Mentor and assist in training of Engineering interns Operate OGP Starlite, optical comparator, and height gage Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong work ethic and reliable Effective communicator Strong desire to learn new tools, software and concepts Capable of consistently providing accurate measurement results Ability to learn from mistakes Navigate Siemens Teamcenter PLM software Professional demeanor and work habits Computer skills using Windows and MS Office Suite Excellent attention to detail and troubleshooting ability Possess knowledge of ANSI 14.5 GD&T standards and concepts Ability to work with only occasional supervision and training Requirements Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in technical field preferred Other Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
