Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION

To provide efficient and effective scheduling support to squadrons.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Vocational or other post-high school training.

Training and Experience: Familiarity with aircraft and weapon system scheduling Ability to prioritize conflicting requests. Experience working in a dynamic high stress environment. Prior operational scheduling DESIRED.

General Skills: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, a self starter, flexible in work assignments, detail oriented, highly organized, possess good interpersonal and written communication skills, and work under limited supervision.

Computer Skills: Familiarity with normal government software and hardware. Familiarity with FAX and email. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, and Power Point. Access a plus.

Security Clearance: Current security clearance of "Secret" or above.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Determine flight, ground and simulator scheduling requirements for upgrade, initial qualifications, re-qualifications, transition, currency, and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, equipment and range availability, and commander directed programs.
  • Obtain simulator availability from 16 TRS, compile daily scheduling requirement summary, drafts and publish unit long/short range ground, academic, flying, and simulator training schedules on Patriot Excalibur (PEX),, Training Management System (TMS), Learning Management System (LMS), and locally implemented database systems.
  • Track daily flight, ground, simulator, and academic requirements and accomplishments.
  • Perform daily updates of scheduling data as required to compensate for ongoing conditions and training completion rates.
  • Attend special use airspace meetings as required.
  • Review flow plans (takeoffs/arrivals) to de-conflict with 49 WG activities and ensure airspace compliance.
  • Provide daily schedule via email to all permanent party, students, and applicable distribution inboxes.
  • Correlate sortie length and airspace requirements with syllabus requirements.
  • Accomplish weekly flying hour program updates.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
