Position Title: Information Systems Security Officer

Position Overview
ISPA Technology LLC is seeking a mission-focused
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide advanced cybersecurity support for programs under the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (PEO C4I). The ISSO will be responsible for ensuring systems meet and maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures across all phases of the system development lifecycle.
Key
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure secure operations of DoD information systems, in compliance with DoD 8500, DoD 8510, and DoDI 8570.01 standards.
- Manage and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages including the creation, submission, and continuous monitoring of Authorization to Operate (ATO) artifacts via eMASS.
- Collaborate with Information System Owners, System Engineers, and Security Control Assessors to implement cybersecurity requirements and technical controls.
- Perform security impact assessments, system vulnerability scans, and analysis using tools such as ACAS, HBSS, Nessus, and other Navy-authorized software.
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation including System Security Plans (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) plans.
- Serve as a technical advisor to NAVWAR/PEO C4I program offices on matters related to Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity Compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity engineering within DoD environments.
- Must hold a certification in at least one of the following categories in accordance with DoD 8570.1 for position-based requirements: Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I, Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I, Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I
Salary Range: $100,000 to $200,000 based on years of experience and desired qualifications
