Overview

BRPH is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our interdisciplinary team responsible for the design of on-site improvements at Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control's Sand Lake Rd. facility in Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate should possess the necessary technical skills to:

* Prepare load calculations, specify and layout electrical equipment.
* Perform power, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, lightning protection, communication, security and access control designs in coordination with Sr. Engineer
* Produce detailed construction documents using REVIT and/or ACAD
* Perform short circuit current and load flow analysis, overcurrent protective device coordination, and arc flash risk assessment using Easy Power.
* Pro-actively drive project coordinations with team member from other disciplines, LM Facility Project Managers, LM Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and LM end-users
* Contribute to assuring project schedule milestones are achieved, assist in identifying scope deviations and coordinate with Sr. Engineer for scheduling and cost impact analysis
* Visit construction sites to review, monitor, and report progress. Perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, attend construction site meetings, respond to RFI's, and Submittals
* Follow the BRPH and LM quality control standards through peer quality reviews and inter-discipline cross checks on construction documents

Typical project types include fast-paced small to medium-sized office and/or lab renovations, production machine installation/replacements, clean rooms, and MV/LV electrical infrastructure improvements (generators, substations, switchboards, etc.), amongst many others.

With the support from their Electrical Lead and team members, the candidate would lead all aspects, coordinations and drafting of assigned projects which could include MV and/or LV power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, lightning protection, communications, access control and security systems amongst other. Work would be completed mostly on-site, on a 4-day work week (Mon-Thu) with paid, straight-time overtime.

Qualifications

Qualifications
* Self-driven professional with thorough understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC), and Florida Building and Energy Conservation codes
* Proficiency in the use of REVIT, ACAD, Easy Power, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office suite.
* Ability to navigate the design of multiple, concurrent projects at different stages with competing priorities as well as answering RFIs and Submittals for other projects in construction stage.
* A positive and professional attitude with excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
* A minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Electrical Facilities Design field, preferably in the Industrial and/or Manufacturing sectors.
* A Florida Professional Engineer license is preferred but NOT required for this position.
