A Garage Technician / Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the fleet tire program, as well as other company assets. Key duties will include:

WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Operate tire machine for mounting and dismounting tires

  • Install and remove mounted tires on company trucks, cars in addition to transporting them back and forth from the main building
  • Stack tires in appropriate manner
  • Help maintain tire inventory in tire and trailer shop. Perform lot inspections
  • Complete required maintenance paperwork including vehicle write ups and work orders
  • Maintain the shop area in a clean, safe and professional manner
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE


  • Minimum of 2 years mechanic experience or technical school graduate

  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds as needed

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE


  • History of performing specialized troubleshooting and repairs using manufacturer diagnostic tools

  • Previous experience providing support and leadership to other technicians and mechanics
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience
  • Desire to be a strong team player working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

ROLE SPECIFICS


  • Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday Hours: 1:30pm - 12:00am
  • Work both inside and outside in all weather conditions

  • Regular moving and lifting of heavy objects and machinery up to 75 pounds
