PURPOSE:

Receiving Dock Team Member is part of the team responsible for inventorying and verifying items for shipping before creating stock and order transfers in SAP; inventory and verifying incoming items; assisting with daily inventory balancing and general warehouse work.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Inventory products and items for shipping, verifying item numbers and quantities of each product, examining quality of packaging and pallets prior to loading.
  • Creating stock and order transfers in JDE/SAP for shipping to the Distribution Center finished products and other materials as required.
  • Verifies incoming stock transfers, order transfers, item numbers, quantities, and quality of items.
  • Maintains accurate receiving and shipping logs.
  • Ensuring that all shipping and receiving drivers are signed in on appropriate logs and that all incoming items are routed correctly.
  • Driving
  • Assisting with daily inventory balancing and facility inventories as required.
  • Extended sitting and walking required.
  • Maintaining good working relationship with the various departments, facilities, and vendors.
  • Ensuring the dock and working areas are kept in a safe, professional, and clean matter.
  • Other tasks as assigned.



REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1-3+ years related experience required.
  • Must be able to lift of up to 50



PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:



  • Basic computer skills
