For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Registered Nurses:

• Registered Nurses - New Grads to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full time)
• Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Emergency Department - BIDDEFORD/SANFORD

The Emergency Department Biddeford/Sanford provides 24-hour emergency care supporting two separate campuses. Combined the campuses treat over 40,000 patients per year providing care to a variety of patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.

This is a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with up to 47 treatment beds in Biddeford and up to 25 treatment beds in Sanford.

The ED offers:

• A self-scheduling model

• Every third vs. every other weekend option

• Shift differentials

• Triage, Preceptorship, and Charge role training

• Role autonomy with nurse order sets and close provider collaboration

• TNCC and ENPC certification training

• Clinical ladder advancement potential

Full Time; Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Rotating Weekends & Holidays (Every 3rd)

Summary:

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care - MMC BID SAN role is responsible for the management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN's require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN's require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
3. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse - Acute Care role.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.
