We are seeking a highly motivated Research Chemist to join our "New Product Development and Legacy Portfolio Management" group within the Substrate Protection team at our Burbank S&T facility. As a Research Chemist on this team you will focus on new product development, the preservation of legacy primers, customer support, troubleshooting and product commercialization. This is an exciting opportunity to work on different technologies, bring creativity and concepts to practice, and contribute to the development of new products and the maintenance of the existing product line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hands-on laboratory work to support the research and development of new products, emphasizing accuracy and efficiency in experimental design and execution while adhering to safety procedures.

  • Follow experimental procedures, generate reliable data, and consistently demonstrates the ability to contribute to the design of experiments. Leads independent projects or portions of larger projects.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to extract valuable insights that guide the direction of research. Able to effectively listen and communicate within the work team, providing clear and concise documentation of technical results, and able to orally present work. Collaborates and supports all team efforts. Open minded and responsive to feedback.

  • Actively contributes to idea generation and engage in technical problem-solving. Provides results to enable the team to goals. Contributes to the development of the project plan through the design of experiments, writing of logs, evaluation of data, and interpreting of results.

  • Communicate results through written and oral reports to the broader team.

  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to advance projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry.
  • Prior experience (1-2 years) preferred in lab environment (internship, coursework, or undergraduate research) is a significant plus
  • Strong ability to execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and document results with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to support multiple projects.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Salary Range: $75,000-$82,500
