Job Summary

This position will provide experienced enterprise-level Primavera P6 and portfolio-management support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Years of Relevant Experience

The position requires 10+ years of relevant experience supporting a Program Management Organization (PMO) in a process improvement, planning and scheduling role.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

* Proficient in Primavera 6 (P6) to create complex schedules based on input from project managers and design layouts, filters, and reports within the tool

* Lead and manage the creation, editing, versioning, and publishing of technical and program documentation in compliance with FAA standards and documentation requirements.

* Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 for multiple concurrent projects across the FAA.

* Work closely with program managers, engineers, and FAA stakeholders to capture project scope, deliverables, and timelines.

* Integrate cost, scope, and schedule baselines to support Earned Value Management (EVM) and program reporting.

* Conduct critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and "what-if" scenarios to support decision-making.

* Provide regular schedule status updates, variance reports, and recovery plans to leadership and FAA partners.

* Ensure alignment with FAA acquisition management processes (AMS) and other federal scheduling standards.

* Support schedule audits, internal reviews, and external stakeholder meetings.

* Deliver training to FAA project managers, schedulers, and engineers on Primavera P6 and related scheduling best practices.

* Collaborate with contract and financial teams to ensure accurate resource planning and cost-loading where applicable.

* Mentor junior schedulers and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the scheduling team.

* Operate and maintain a SharePoint/KSN as the primary repository for schedules, site lists, updates, and action items.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.

Master's degree is a plus and may count as additional years of experience

Skills Requirements

* Experience supporting large-scale FAA or federal transportation programs.

* Knowledge of FAA-specific tools or systems such as CWP.

* Experience integrating P6 schedules with cost and risk management tools.

* Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, and traditional waterfall project methodologies.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, compliant documentation.



Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance.

Travel

Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
