HDR is looking for a Traffic Engineer to join our South Carolina Area Transportation Business Group. This role may be based out of any of the following South Carolina Area offices: Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, or Fort Mill. In this role, we'll count on you to:

• Work as part of a team to deliver a variety of traffic-related projects, including capacity analysis reports, traffic forecasting, simulation modeling, roadway design support, signal design, transit design support, and more.
• Work as a Task Lead under the direction of a Project Engineer/Manager as needed.
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using a variety of modeling tools, ranging from highway capacity software to complex micro simulation models.
• Analyze everything from isolated intersections and roundabouts to urban arterials and freeway segments.
• Participate in traffic signal design and traffic signal timing projects, including but not limited to, drafting signal plans, conducting field visits, preparing signal timing calculations, developing quantity takeoffs and preparing cost estimates.
• Provide technical support to junior staff.
• Take a proactive approach to learning, developing your skillset, and understanding the industry.
• Perform other duties as needed.
