The Opportunity...

The Repair Cell Service Technician evaluates and repairs electrical or electronic equipment, such as airfield lights and other related airfield equipment.

You will make an impact by....

• Inspecting or testing wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results.
• Assembling electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, or bolts.
• Adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Cleaning parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
• Reading and interpreting schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
• Marking and tagging components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
• Packing finished assemblies for shipment and prepare them for transport to storage areas.
• Collaborating with supervisors or engineers to plan, review work activities, resolve troubleshooting and/or repair problems.
• Distributing materials, supplies, or subassemblies to work areas.

The talent we want to inspire has...

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• One to two years related experience or training a plus.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient with computer systems and comfortable learning various programs.
