Senior Manager, Global Marketing Manager - Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT)

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Global Marketing for Cell & Gene Therapies (CGT) is responsible for driving market development, commercialization, and adoption of the CGT product and services portfolio worldwide. This role balances upstream market development with downstream execution, ensuring the Terumo BCT brand grows across prioritized segments. The incumbent will develop go-to-market strategies, lead evidence-based marketing initiatives, and engage global and regional stakeholders, while partnering with internal teams across product management, services, sales, scientific affairs, and regulatory to deliver integrated market success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Strategic Market Development & Go-to-Market Planning



  • Conduct market assessments and market research to identify opportunities.
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and value propositions aligned with customer needs and evolving market trends.
  • Lead development of service offerings and program launches to strengthen brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with Global Product Management on launch readiness for new products and services.



Content Development & Communication



  • Partner with Corporate Communications and GTI Digital marketing lead to create impactful omnichannel marketing assets (brochures, case studies, product demos, videos).
  • Ensure messaging consistency and integration of the CGT portfolio into promotional programs, sales tools, and customer communications.
  • Develop storytelling across the portfolio to reflect customer feedback, competitive insights, and brand strategy.


Sales Enablement



  • Equip sales teams with playbooks, FAQs, competitive comparisons, and value analysis tools.


  • Provide field training and insights to accelerate adoption and ensure alignment with customer needs.


Market Development & Evidence Generation



  • Identify adoption barriers and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Collaborate with Scientific Affairs to define and communicate evidence strategy.
  • Translate new evidence and claims into marketing programs, materials, and campaigns.
  • Plan multi-channel campaigns to support training, customer engagement, and congress activities.


Stakeholder Engagement



  • Build and strengthen partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), CMOs, academia, and translational labs.
  • Lead advisory board activities and leverage insights to shape downstream and upstream marketing strategies.
  • Represent Terumo BCT at international congresses, engaging with customers and external organizations to drive visibility and market share growth.


Performance Monitoring & Analytics



  • Track adoption, revenue, and market share metrics globally.
  • Analyze effectiveness of programs using internal and external stakeholder feedback.
  • Develop tactics and tools to measure and communicate results.



QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10+ years' experience in global marketing and/or sales, preferably in MedTech, Biotech, Pharma, or other regulated Life Sciences industries.
  • Experience in Cell & Gene Therapies strongly preferred.
  • Scientific or Technical background in CGT applications, therapies, and markets strongly preferred.
  • Advanced sales and marketing techniques with strong knowledge of market execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently support sales goals and profitability.
  • Expertise in product positioning and deep competitive knowledge of global markets.
  • Strong track record in strategic planning and program delivery.
  • Intimate knowledge of global marketing strategies and market requirements, with working knowledge of global sales strategies.
  • Ability to assess and integrate customer needs and market trends within the context of product systems and business capabilities and translate this into effective programs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple levels of customer organizations (Biotech, CMO, translational lab, academia) as well as internal cross-functional and regional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and refine strategies.

Target Pay Range:$160,700.00to$200,900.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:20.0%
