Senior Vice President, Market Line Operations

Essential Functions:



  • Acts as main liaison between GEODIS Operations leaders and key customer contacts of assigned market line accounts to fully understand, communicate, and execute to the goals of our customers
  • Leads in the formulation and administration of company policies
  • Develops long range goals and objectives for assigned market line
  • Accepts responsibility for external customer relationship management and internal (employee) customer relationship management
  • Directs, coordinates and delegates activities of market line operations to attain goals and objectives
  • Champions continuous improvement process and initiatives for assigned accounts within assigned market line
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Accepts responsibility for the profitability of the assigned account(s) through accurate and timely preparation of financial budgets and forecasts
  • Reports, interprets and summarizes financial information for assigned operations to executive team
  • Confers with campus RVP, SVP and administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions
  • Manages customer account relationship proactively to deliver overall customer satisfaction

  • Partners with the business development group in securing business with new customers or additional business with existing customers
  • Develop, design and chair multi discipline work groups with GEODIS, e.g. Program Management, Engineering, Commercial/ Finance, Client Services and Operations
  • Provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned operations
  • Serves as subject matter expert for assigned market line and partner with internal stakeholders to review new business or existing business solutions
  • Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Travel as required to assigned account operations within the network
  • Negotiate tactical and strategic commercial agreements with Client Services


Leadership & Collaboration



  • Develop clear communication strategies to articulate commercial strategies and programs to customers and internal stakeholders globally.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to GEODIS senior leadership on all aspects of the Market Line.
  • Partner with Operations leadership and business leaders to align customer goals with organizational objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Market Line team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing work environment.


Financial Analysis and Reporting



  • Develop and manage metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of the Market Line business.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and reporting tools to provide insights into competitive trends, driving data-informed decisions.
  • Manage P&L budgets and analyze financial impact.


General



  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 12 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a high volume, high mix distribution center
  • Minimum of 8 years in a leadership capacity running multi-site distribution center networks (preferably in a consumer electronics environment)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Significant experience developing and executing multiyear strategic P&L's
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
