Position Title: Maintenance Technician/Assembler
Salary: $62,400/year Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-4pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician/Assembler for a company in Janesville, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity. Maintenance Technician/Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Mechanical Assembly (60%) - Assemble complex mechanical components, subassemblies, and equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions - Ensure parts meet specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges - Perform functional testing and adjustments on assembled equipment - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot assembly issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement - Maintain a clean and organized assembly area Maintenance (40%) - Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment to minimize downtime - Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment - Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and setup - Document maintenance activities in CMMS or maintenance logs - Maintain spare parts inventory and notify supervisors of material shortages Maintenance Technician/Assembler Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree preferred - 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance and/or mechanical assembly - Proficient with mechanical hand and power tools - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Familiarity with safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout procedures QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
