Position Summary

The Program and Administrative Assistant will aid Social Service Clients and assist the Service Center Manager with financial paperwork/forms for the Service Center and other administrative support for programs meeting the needs of the office and community.

Essential Functions



  • Greet all who enter and assist with needs or referrals.
  • Answer phones, provide support, route calls, and take messages.
  • Provide assistance to community with food, diapers, birth certificates, ID Applications, referrals or other resources as available.
  • Input Client and Corps Program participant information into WellSky program.
  • Compile stats for Social Service programs each month.
  • Assist with FEMA funding: purchasing food for pantry.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices or missing receipts for invoices.
  • Accounts payable proper coding for billings of Service Center.
  • Maintain financial files for Service Center.
  • Maintain donor database/receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Prepare bank deposits, travel to bank to make deposits.
  • Provide administrative assistance for seasonal programs. Responsibilities include seasonal screening and intake for qualifying clients.
  • Support Service Center Manager with bulletin, fliers, copies, creative, administrative support as available for programs.
  • Other duties as requested.


Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend squat climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as file cabinet drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. This position requires employee to be vaccinated from Covid-19 or have a religious or medical approved exemption.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Able to work independently, with little supervision.
  • Ability to learn new tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service required.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new computer skills and programs.
  • Protect The Mission Training within the first 90 days of employment.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities



  • Driving test and clean MVR Check.
  • Good written communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail and basic math for finance paperwork.
  • Team player.
  • Employment contingent on passing Background Check.
