About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as an AI Technical Lead based in Shelton, CT. The AI Tech Lead has prior industry and technology experience, and will be responsible for end-to-end development and deployment of Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI (GenAI) models. They translate complex data into AI-driven solutions that can perform autonomously in real-time environments. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist who thrives in driving AI strategies from concept to production including writing code, deploying models to production, and continuously monitoring and updating as needed. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a proven track record of developing scalable AI solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• AI/ML Solution Development - Lead design and development of ML and GenAI solutions in production environments.
  
  
  
  • Analyze statistics, data, and algorithms for projection accuracy.
  • Articulate and document the solutions architecture for each exploration
  • Work with a team of machine-learning and data engineers to design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms that integrate with existing business systems to enhance functionality and user interaction.

  • Manage the data flow and infrastructure for effective AI deployment.
  • Collaborate and use AI analysis to align initiatives with company goals.
  • Stay current on AI knowledge, trends, and regulations.
  • Advise technology and business leaders on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI
  • Experience with machine learning, generative AI, deep learning, NLP, and computer vision.
  
  
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Martech, Analytics ) to integrate AI into enterprise applications.
• Architect, implement, and scale demand forecasting and fraud detection models using Python and advanced ML frameworks.
• Develop and orchestrate Generative AI agents, chatbots, and AI workflows.

Qualifications (some examples listed below):

• Bachelor's in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7 plus years' experience (2-3 years in AI related field).
• Hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker for ML workflows and Amazon Bedrock for deploying foundation models like GPT, Claude, and LLaMA.
• Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI Service for LLM integration, model hosting, and enterprise-scale GenAI applications.
• Drive agentic AI architectures for multi-step reasoning and autonomous decision-making systems.
• Excellent data science and data understanding skills.
• Passion for working in the QSR / Retail CPG industry and staying current with technology trends.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).
• Experience working with offshore and onshore development teams in Agile and Scrum methodologies using industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure Devops).
• Strong influential communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), with the ability to exert influence and meet commitments in a highly matrixed organization.
• Exceptional consulting / management skills in a technical domain along with an ability to successfully juggle multiple initiatives and manage changing priorities.
• Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment. Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
