We're hiring a Field Electronics Technician, Level 3, to join our Specialty Welding and Machining team. This individual will provide experienced field electrical services at remote sites, utilizing high technology services in a manner reflecting commitment to the Specialty Welding and Machining team's highest levels of safety and quality. Administrator and implement authored work plans. Your Day to Day:
- All expectations of a Level II Electronics Technician.
- Ability to support and independently execute E-tech specific projects.
- Utilize project resources and articulate technical needs including but not limited to personnel, training, equipment, vendors, sub-contractors.
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, overhaul, and calibration for major welding power supply systems (e.g. Gold Track 2,5,6), EDM machining equipment, and/or T1 and T2 cannister related equipment.
- Coordinate and transmit communications between SPECIALTY WELDING AND MACHINING and management personnel.
- Execute technical and commercial aspects of contracts on the job site per agreed time frame. Support documentation of change orders and work scope as milestones are met or problems occur. Notify Project manager, SPECIALTY WELDING AND MACHINING management and/or customer(s) accordingly.
- Prepare shift and/or daily status reports for the SPECIALTY WELDING AND MACHINING, site and customer(s) management.
- Ensure personal and team practice and understanding of ALARA principles and a "Safety First" attitude as an integral part of all activities. Demonstrate and promote good house keeping practices in work areas.
- Maintain a safe and ethical work environment as mandated by regulatory agencies, SPECIALTY WELDING AND MACHINING policies and procedures, and customer(s) requirements.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) to support development of training and lesson plans and ensure program implementation. Provide or obtain technical or management assistance to field personnel as required.
- Exercise and promote team building skills with peers, superiors, contractors, customers, and other departments.
- Demonstrate customer sensitivity and customer service skills.
- Develop and deliver performance feedback on personnel to management for specific projects or work assignments.
- Actively promote organizational initiatives and management objectives through positive approach, self-control, and reinforcement management.
- Initiate a focus on creative problem solving.
- Control project costs while maximizing optimum performance to meet requirements.
Who You Are:
- Academic or vocational high school graduate, or the recognized equivalent.
- A two-year degree post high school or related military training is preferred.
- Specific knowledge in electrical / electronics or mechanical curriculum and application required.
- Education in the area of machinist training or welding certification is a plus.
- A minimum of four (4) years documented electronic experience in field construction.
- Evidence of repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of portable electrical, welding or machining equipment required.
- Education and certifications may be substituted for experience.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience in electrical/electronics, machining and/or welding operations is a plus.

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $ 66,366.56 to $ 79,129.44 per year. Why Westinghouse?
