Were looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician Senior to lead maintenance efforts across large outpatient medical complexes (110,000+ sq. ft.). This role involves hands-on work in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, along with mentoring junior technicians and ensuring compliance with safety and building standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Work (55%)

  • Carpentry: Install and repair fixtures, furniture, drywall, flooring, and fire-rated doors.
  • Electrical: Maintain lighting, outlets, motors, and controls; troubleshoot outages and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Plumbing: Repair toilets, sinks, showers, and piping; resolve water temperature issues and unclog drains.
  • HVAC: Address room temperature issues, replace thermostats and filters, clean components, and maintain boilers.

Mentorship amp; Leadership (20%)

  • Lead a team or manage maintenance for large facilities.
  • Train and mentor technicians; coordinate projects and daily tasks.

General Duties (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Document work orders, submit material requests, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Participate in emergency response and professional development activities.

What Youll Need

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of general maintenance experience in a team-oriented setting.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification and demonstrate knowledge of building systems and standards.
  • Valid Ohio drivers license may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a skilled trade or maintenance field.

Skills amp; Knowledge

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, project management software).
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Desired Qualifications:
Associates/technical degree or certificate in skilled trades/maintenance related field.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push and pull 70 lbs. and distinguish colors. Climb and stand on ladders for extended periods of time.

Unusual Work Conditions:
May work in hot, cold, dusty, or dirty environments for an extended period of time. May work in cramped spaces.
