Job Summary

The Analyst, Mortgage Education Program position is responsible for working closely with education program leaders to support the management of work processes associated with the approval and delivery of courses in accordance with the SAFE Act.

Essential Functions

  • Support work processes required to meet the organization's mandate under the SAFE Act to approve courses for state licensing of mortgage loan originators (MLOs). This includes but is not limited to:




    • Manage the workflow associated with the aggregation of required documentation and material from approved schools.
    • Distribute work assignments to an internal team, approved education providers and a team of geographically dispersed contractors.
    • Perform compliance examinations of approved courses to ensure course delivery and business operations are in accordance with approval standards.
    • Provide customer support to external and internal stakeholders regarding course approval process and use of the Education Management System (EMS) and other online systems.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) associated resource utilization, customer service, and costs.
    • Review and validate SME contractor invoices for accuracy and work to resolve any issues.





Additional Responsibilities



  • Investigate and respond to tier II help tickets from individuals completing NMLS approved education courses.
  • Develop and distribute content for education program communications.
  • Facilitate webinar and/or conference calls with approved course providers.
  • Work with peers to access, process, and evaluate data for dashboard, reports, and presentations.
  • Evaluate Education Program work-flow processes and work with stakeholders for continuous process improvement on a routine basis.



Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience required.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with process management and/or project management experience is preferred.
  • Client management and/or customer service experience is preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong planning, analytical and task management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to identify and discuss issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects driven by multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to use technology applications to manage projects.
  • Ability to evaluate and use special software tools used in web surveillance and investigation analysis.

  • Due to the nature of CSBS's business in support of state financial services supervision, all CSBS employees have the potential of interacting with confidential information related to the supervision of financial services companies ("Confidential Supervisory Information").
