Currently, Alliant seeks a Cloud Administrator II to be a member of a professional multi-disciplinary work team, and provide service, support and delivery and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) solutions. This position maintains customer engagement by communicating with a company's employees and executives to identify any new corporate needs, and tailor existing cloud structures to accommodate them.

In this role, the ideal candidate will:

  • Identify hardware, software, and network problems and perform routine recovery.
  • Constructs and maintains server processes, configurations, and backups in a hybrid environment of cloud and on premise.
  • Manage and oversee the efficiency and functionality of VMware infrastructure.
  • Organize, communicate, and execute security patching activities for endpoint devices.
  • Conduct vulnerability and penetration testing to detect and safeguard against potential threats.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release of deployment activities after hours.
  • Administration of SharePoint M365, managing site creation and rights.
  • Provides technical expertise and/or solution delivery support for maintaining performance and reliability of server solutions.
  • Coordinate and implement planned infrastructure changes for business and/or IT customers.
  • Protect personnel information, hardware, software, networks and data from physical actions and other events that could cause serious loss or damage.
  • Seeks methods to streamline processes for improved resource efficiency.
  • Examines system logs for analysis and monitoring.
  • Create and formalize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for systems administration.
  • Provides 24x7 support to identify and resolve issues relating to accessing corporate IT-managed resources.
  • Verify and update equipment inventory.
  • Communicate in verbal and written formats, and articulate technical concepts to a varied audience.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects as assigned and interact with all areas of the organization to achieve timely results.
  • Promote core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication skills, and positive behaviors.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) laws and regulations and company policies.
  • Demonstrate compliance with corporate and departmental policies as evidenced by attendance, punctuality, and professional appearance.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and training for the role include:

  • Knowledge of administration of servers on premise (physical and virtual) and in Microsoft Azure.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of innovative technologies or technology opportunities for on-prem and cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of and ability to understand scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Knowledge and skill utilizing change management principles associated with high availability of systems and preventing change related incident due to human performance factors.
  • Skill in operating system administration (e.g., account maintenance, data backups, maintain system performance, install, and configure new hardware/software).
  • Skill in correcting physical and technical problems that impact systems/server performance.
  • Ability to work independently; and organize and prioritize work and time
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane to customer and Company meetings as needed or required.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or related field) or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years' experience in IT infrastructure support, application support, cloud computing or
  • 6 years or more relevant work experience.

Preferred

  • Certifications; Microsoft Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
