Presidential Bank is seeking individuals who are bright, success-oriented team players with good interpersonal and communications skills for full-time positions within the Auto Lending division. This position is located in Frederick, MD. Excellent benefits including 401(k) and pension contributions as well as paid parking (or metro).

The Auto Loan Service Rep primary responsibilities would include the servicing and collecting on Auto Loans as well as assisting with general office tasks within the Auto Lending division of Presidential Bank. An ideal candidate will have customer service experience, time management skills, and desire to go above and beyond for loan customers.

Reports to: Assistant Vice President Operations and Customer Experience, Auto Lending

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone lines for Auto Lending Dept and service internal and external customer inquiries
  • Complete collection activities on high-risk accounts
  • Process transactions including payment postings, reversals, and external account payments on Dealer Reserve accounts
  • Manage insurance cancellation notices and contact insurance companies to verify coverages maintained on collateral
  • General office filing and management
  • Create and distribute customer communications, Welcome letters, Delinquency notifications, AA letters
  • Assist Funding as needed
  • Retrieve, sort, and disburse mail for the Dept.
  • Assess risk and mitigate potential fraud concerns promptly
  • Assist borrowers with online banking navigation
  • Establish the relationship with new customers by completing Welcome Calls on newly onboarded Auto Loans
  • Determine necessity of escalation for high-risk delinquencies or dissatisfied customers.
  • Maintain proper record keeping based on bank requirements and procedures
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

  • The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to risk
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Swift ability to learn and work with new and current systems used throughout the Bank.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Biley Act, Regulation E and teller roles and responsibilities relating to each act


This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 1-2 years of customer service experience.
