Summary:

The Project Administrator will report to the Program Manager of Patient and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) for The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH). This position is responsible for providing administrative and project support, facilitation, onboarding, design, and coordination for JHH PFCC functions and activities, the JHH Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs), and other areas as needed.

The Project Administrator will participate in planning and recruitment efforts for PFACs and other patient/family forums as needed, as well as advisor onboarding, training, managing demographic and membership database for the JHH PFACs. Will act as a point of contact for PFAC members and related-efforts.

Participates in Patient and Family-Centered improvement initiatives and plans within JHH by providing administrative support, engaging in design, developing action-plan elements, and collaborating on implementation.

Provides JHH PFACs with data analysis, system review and resource and champion identification in planning and organizing PFAC activities; works with Administrators, Directors, Physicians, Nurses and all levels of staff to assist with executing initiatives and PFAC training, implementation, and outcome monitoring.

Utilizes skills to facilitate, motivate, encourage, and implement change related to PFCC strategic priorities.

Provides design, development, training, and reporting for the PFACs.

Provides support to PFAC leaders in meeting goals, objectives and organizing PFCC activities (minutes, event planning, logistics {room reservations/Zoom rooms, food and gift ordering, AV, etc.}). Will have some responsibility for departmental budget.

Acts as liaison between PFCC Office/PFACs and Volunteer Services to ensure an optimal onboarding experience for new volunteers.

Participates in other patient and family-facing projects and committees as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration required. Master's degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:

None required.

Work Experience:

2-3 years of related work experience coordinating and participating in projects. Healthcare Business and Operations experience preferred.



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; values diversity and inclusion.

  • Committed to person-centered care and relationship-building.



Preferred:



  • Knowledge of PFACs and volunteer management.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies.
  • Interest in planning patient and family events.



Salary Range: Minimum 28.47 per hour - Maximum 47.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
